5 Reasons to take a selfie – and use them in your business

…But what if you’re just starting out and can’t afford them yet, or you’re still feeling a bit too shy to have someone else photograph you?  Then the selfie is your answer, start with selfies! 

So here are 5 reasons to take a selfie, and why you should be using selfies in your business…

Selfies are so easy, you can take them yourself!!  It doesn’t take long either.  You don’t need any fancy equipment, and you don’t need anyone else.  Just your normal camera phone.  Switch the camera around into selfie mode so it’s facing you, hold it up, and away you go…

5 Reasons to take a selfie and use them in your business #2: It’s free

You don’t need to pay anyone else to take one, and you don’t need to buy anything to do it. 

(I’m assuming you have a phone that takes photos!).

Use them in your social media and it will help your business to grow – your potential customers and clients will be able to see who you are, and get to know the face behind the business.  People buy from people, and it helps to see who you are so they can get to know you – and then want to buy from you.

5 Reasons to take a selfie and use them in your business #4: It’s good for your brand

Starting to share more photos of you will give your brand a boost, getting you more visible and part of your brand. They can show the real you, and they can show behind the scenes too, wherever you’re working or enjoying yourself, whatever you’re up to, and will really help your audience to get to know you and help make your brand memorable.

If you’re a little on the camera-shy side, then getting used to taking some selfies, and getting used to sharing them, is a great way for you to get used to being photographed and seeing photos of yourself, before you make the leap to having some professional headshots and branding photos taken of you.

So go on, give it a go!
